I've gone off the idea of a holiday in Scotland.

A: When are you going off on your trip?

B: I've gone off the idea of a holiday in Scotland.

Aさんのgo offは「どこかへ出発するときのgo off」。Bさんのgo offは「~をやめる」のgo off。 I've gone off the idea..." the idea that.."

I've gone off the idea that phrasal verbs are difficult to understand.

He used to go off people quickly.

go off = to leave a place, especially in order to do sth (Oxford)
go off(informal, BrE) = to lose interest in sb/sth; to stop liking sb/sth(Oxford)
